Duncan

Duncan is a 3-year-old, 50-lb brindle pittie with a big smile, a bigger heart, and an emotional support toy he proudly carries everywhere. He's been waiting patiently and is more than ready to find his person. Duncan loves to bring a toy on his walks; it's his security blanket, and watching him trot around with it is pure joy. He's a strong and responsive walker, enjoying exploring the world with his human. He's a "sniff detective," pausing his explorations only for particularly interesting smells. Duncan is very people-focused, greeting new humans with enthusiasm and sometimes offering a soft howl when the petting stops, a polite request for more attention. He's also a car ride champion, hopping in easily and settling down quickly, always up for an adventure. Duncan came to us as a stray in November and was never reclaimed. He's had a couple of adoption applications, but the timing wasn't quite right. Now, it's his turn to find his forever home.

Ideal Home

We're looking for someone who appreciates a goofy, affectionate, toy-carrying companion. A home without cats is a must, as Duncan has made his preference very clear. A family or person who enjoys walks, sniffing breaks, and plenty of cuddle time would be a perfect match. Someone ready to let Duncan's big smile win them over will be richly rewarded.

Training & Support

Duncan is dog reactive in face-to-face greetings, but he doesn't react to barking dogs around him. He might do well with a compatible dog, as he has shown he can coexist with the right match. However, he would also thrive as an only dog with his people and his toys.

Transporation
