Gerry

Gerry is a magnificent, tall, and beautiful boy, estimated to be around 2 years old. He's a calm, cool, and collected fellow in his foster home, but also has a fun, playful energy. Gerry was found roaming and was treated for heartworm. He's now through his recovery period and ready to find his forever family. Gerry has a slight bend in his muzzle and his lip gets caught on a tooth, which might be from an old injury or a mild wry face. It's quite adorable and doesn't affect him physically at all. He's a sweet dog who loves his people and is friendly when meeting new people. Gerry gets excited when meeting other dogs but is friendly with them. He's shown curiosity and some fear towards cats, backing away, but no aggression. We recommend a home without cats for now, as he's unfamiliar with them, but we're continuing to test and expose him to them.

Ongoing Health

Gerry was treated for heartworm and has completed his recovery period. He is neutered and up to date on core vaccinations.

Training & Support

Gerry has learned to walk like a pro on leash, is crate trained, and potty trained. He also rides well in the car. He would benefit from a family with German Shepherd experience who can provide the time, patience, and willingness to train and acclimate him into their routine and lifestyle.
