SUNNY

Sunny is a sweet 3-year-old, 25 lb Jindo and Corgi mix who was rescued from a shelter in Ulsan, South Korea. She had a tough start, giving birth to puppies in difficult conditions, but thankfully, she and one puppy survived and were rescued. Sunny was initially very fearful but has spent over a year learning to trust and feel safe. She is now ready for a patient and loving home that will appreciate her gentle and sensitive nature.

Ideal Home

Sunny would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands her journey. She bonds gradually with adults and children, especially with a gentle approach. Homes with children under 8 years old are generally not a good fit for her.

Ongoing Health

Sunny has no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Sunny is mostly housetrained and loves walks, being well-behaved on a leash. She is sensitive to loud noises and new situations but calms down with gentle reassurance. We do not recommend leaving dogs alone for more than 4 hours and encourage doggy daycare or other care options if you expect to be away longer. Patience, understanding, and gentle guidance are essential as some of our rescue dogs may need extra time to adjust to family life.

• A home check is required before adoption.
• Applicants must be at least 25 years old and live within a 45-minute driving distance of Springfield, Virginia (Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC suburbs only).
• Applicants must have a social media account for post-adoption updates.
• Once your application is approved, we will request a copy of your identification through a secure app and/or complete a background screening.

Transportation

Sunny is currently in a foster home in Korea. She will be transported to the U.S. once adopted. We are unable to arrange in-person meet-and-greets before adoption.
