We have been “hobby” breeders for over ten years in Florida. A “hobby” breeder produces a litter out of love, in their home. They do not breed their dogs for profit, but to enhance the breed. Hobby breeders like us are not puppy mills. Never buy a puppy from a puppy mill! (Also beware of breeders on AKC Marketplace or elsewhere that have more than one breed. Because you may not always get what you think you're getting.) You will find that most puppies sold in stores come from puppy mills. The best way to ensure you get the best puppies is to talk to your breeder. Ask them questions. Hobby breeders want to know who is getting their puppy and will ask you questions. If a breeder does not ask you questions. BEWARE!  We got into breeding Maltese because we rescued a Maltese named Zoobie. We fell in love with the breed and decided to breed our own line. We believe that dogs are really members of the family. Our Maltese, have been with us since they were eight weeks old. We take them everywhere. They even sleep with us and we groom them daily. We work with each puppy from a few weeks of age. They are handled from birth and loved from the day they are born. We work to ensure that each puppy has the best start in life, and eventually the best start in their new homes. Each puppy is paper trained early and at least partially house trained before they leave us at eight weeks old.  We socialize each puppy so that they are as comfortable as possible in their new home. We familiarize them with children, cats, other dogs, and expose them to other sights and sounds. Every one of our puppies visits the vets regularly for shots, exams, and health certificates as well as to be micro-chipped.  Please call us if you are interested in a puppy and ask questions at any time.
