Bullseye is a charming 6.5-month-old male Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He was rescued with his mother and siblings from a rural area outside of Houston. While his siblings were busy causing a ruckus, Bullseye was often found observing quietly until it was time for cuddles or play. He is a gentle and thoughtful pup with a calm presence, making him a loyal and easygoing companion. Bullseye enjoys dinnertime, belly rubs, and snuggling. He's a wonderful mix of playful and reserved, often taking a moment to assess a situation before joining in the fun. He’s also content to simply soak up affection or relax by his favorite people.
Ideal Home
Bullseye would thrive in a home where he can continue to learn and grow. We prefer homes that have another friendly, well-mannered dog to act as a canine mentor. If you don't currently have another dog, we'd love to hear your plan for continued socialization. Because Bullseye is still young, we also prefer homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.
Ongoing Health
Bullseye is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Bullseye is potty trained, but a few accidents may occur as he adjusts to a new routine. He is crate-trained and is building confidence with leash walking and basic obedience. Ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice will be key to his success. Continued socialization with new people, places, sounds, and friendly dogs is very important for building his lifelong confidence.
