Nala Mae

Nala is a 6-year-old, spayed female Rottweiler mix weighing around 46 pounds. She's a truly special girl with a sweet, gentle, and well-mannered disposition, making her an absolute dream companion. Nala has an easygoing personality and a heart full of love to share.

Nala enjoys the company of other dogs, showing a playful spirit and knowing when it's time to relax. She's been great with smaller dogs, understanding social cues and respecting their boundaries. She's a dream on walks, showing no reactivity and exhibiting excellent leash manners, making every outing a pleasure.

She's been wonderful with children, including those as young as 5, and is described as incredibly gentle, patient, and loving. Nala would be a fantastic addition to a family with kids of any age.

She is fully house-trained and is comfortable in her crate. While she may express some mild separation anxiety by barking or crying for a few minutes when first left alone, she settles quickly and is expected to improve with a consistent routine.

Nala is a very smart girl who already knows several commands and is eager to please. She’s a joy to live with, loves playing with balls, enjoys car rides, and navigates stairs with ease. She greets everyone with kindness and has been noted for her quiet nature.

Nala would do best in a home with a moderate activity level where she can enjoy daily walks and quality time with her family. While she’d likely enjoy having another friendly dog around, it’s not a requirement. Her foster describes her as a "turnkey pup" – affectionate, intelligent, gentle, and ready to be someone's loyal best friend.

Nala would thrive in a home with a moderate activity level where she can enjoy a daily walk and plenty of time with her people. She would likely enjoy having another friendly dog in the home, but it's not a requirement.

Training & Support

Nala is house-trained and crate-trained. She may bark or cry for a few minutes when first crated or left alone but settles quickly. Her foster expects this mild separation anxiety to continue improving as she becomes more comfortable in a consistent routine. She is very smart, knows several commands, and is eager to please.
