Chikita is a super sweet and loyal German Shepherd mix who is ready to find her forever home! She's approximately 1 year old and weighs around 50 lbs. Chikita, who her foster family has affectionately nicknamed "Arya" or "Arry," is a real sweetheart who loves to be with her people. She enjoys leisurely walks where she can sniff everything, and she absolutely adores the water, whether it's a lake, a pool, or even just puddles! While she can be a little shy at first with new experiences, she warms up quickly and is very open to learning.
Ideal Home
Chikita would likely do best in a home with another dog who can show her the ropes and be her companion. She has plenty of energy to spare but also enjoys relaxing and cuddling on the couch. A yard would be ideal, but a home that can provide long daily walks will also work. She is nervous about bath time, so a patient adopter who can help her get more comfortable with water will be a plus. She is also a water dog, so if you love the water, you'll have a great companion!

Chikita is a healthy girl. She can be a little nervous about bath time, but this is something that should improve with time and positive experiences.
Training & Support
Chikita is housetrained and crate-trained, though she can be a little whiny if left alone for too long. She is okay being left free-range in the home. She is open to corrections and is eager to learn new things. Chikita loves other dogs so much that she can get excited when she sees them on leash. This is due to her wanting to play and not aggression. She is also still in her puppy phase and anything left on the ground is fair game.
