Mars

Meet Mars! This sweet 2-year-old, 45-50 lb. boy was found abandoned near a gas station and bravely navigated a neighborhood looking for safety and kindness. Thankfully, some compassionate locals stepped in to feed him until our team could rescue him. Mars is now boarding with a dog trainer, learning to trust and enjoy life again. He's a social butterfly who loves everyone he meets and is eager to play with other energetic dogs. With gentle guidance, he could also adjust to a home with cats. He'd do best with older children who won't be accidentally knocked over by his enthusiasm. Mars has an amazing recall and is ready to be a beloved member of a family.

Ideal Home

Mars would thrive in an active home with older children. He could potentially live with cats with proper introductions and guidance.

Ongoing Health

Mars is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is heartworm positive and has begun the slow-kill treatment process. We will provide monthly Heartgard to his future adopter to cover the remainder of his treatment.

Training & Support

Mars is currently learning to be a dog again with a trainer. While his recall is excellent, he is not yet house-trained.
