Rosie

Meet Rosie! This sweet 14-year-old Beagle is ready to live life on her own terms, at her own pace. Rosie's philosophy is simple: take your time, enjoy the sunshine, stop and smell absolutely everything, and never rush a good nap. Whether she's exploring the yard with her nose to the ground, relaxing in a sunny spot, or resting her head in your lap, Rosie is happiest when life is peaceful and unhurried. She's described as gentle, affectionate, friendly, stubborn, and spunky, with a signature "Beagle yell" to express her feelings. Rosie loves naps, belly rubs, snacks, and being with her people. She's wonderful with cats, does well with respectful dogs, and would be a perfect family companion.

Ideal Home

Rosie would thrive in a home where she can continue to live a comfortable and unhurried life. A single-level home or one where stair access can be limited would be ideal due to her arthritis. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for her frequent potty breaks and love of sniffing around.

Ongoing Health

Rosie has arthritis and a mild heart murmur. She may need assistance with stairs as she has had some falls.

Training & Support

Rosie is a senior dog who is looking for comfort and companionship. She enjoys spending time with her people and is content with a cozy bed, a sunny yard, and a lap to rest her head on.
