Scout

Scout is a sweet boy who came to us from the Downey shelter. He and his friend Raisin weren't doing well in their previous environment. Both came from an animal hoarding situation and hadn't been handled much by people. We've spent months working to gain their trust and helping them feel more comfortable around people and other dogs. Scout is crate trained, gently takes treats, and is not food aggressive. He absolutely loves to play with toys and fetch balls!

Ideal Home

Potential adopters should be located in San Diego County and willing to attend training sessions to help build a strong bond with Scout. If you live outside of San Diego County, you'll need to have an approved trainer you plan to work with. Positive reinforcement (R+) is a must, and a Fear Free approach is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Scout is neutered.

Training & Support

Scout is crate trained and gentle with treats. He is not food aggressive. We recommend positive reinforcement (R+) and a Fear Free approach to continue building his confidence and bond with his new family.
