Miranda is an approximately 1 year and 9 month-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 46 pounds. She's a loving and energetic girl with a natural protective instinct, forming strong bonds with her people and staying aware of her surroundings. Miranda is crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash. She gets along great with cats, other dogs, children, men, and women. While affectionate and social, she can be a little nervous in new situations and may need time to feel fully comfortable. Miranda was rescued from the streets of Houston after being fed by kind strangers at a construction site. She's now safe and eager to find a forever family to provide her with the love, stability, and companionship she truly deserves.
Ideal Home
We're looking for a home with a fenced backyard where Miranda can safely explore. Families who enjoy outdoor activities would be a great fit for her energetic nature. She would thrive with a family that understands the unique needs and potential behaviors of rescued street animals, and who has experience with dog behavior and training. Patience and a high tolerance for a rescued puppy are essential.
Ongoing Health
Miranda has undergone spaying, is up-to-date on DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, and has been dewormed. She has a negative heartworm test and a health certificate, with all vaccination records provided in a booklet.
Training & Support
Miranda is house trained and walks well on a leash. She may bark if she senses something is wrong or feels threatened. Because our foster homes are full, it's impossible for us to house-train every single pet. Therefore, we're looking for adopters who have experience and patience with rescued animals and understand their need for continued guidance and education.
