About Watson

If your world could use a gentle, 57-pound shadow who loves to be in the know, then let me introduce myself! I'm Watson, a handsome 2-year-old Boxer/Pitbull mix who's navigated a bit of a bumpy road, but now I'm steering straight for a forever home. My journey started tied to a tree, but that's just a footnote in my story now; I've spent time at the sanctuary, learning that the world can be a safe and loving place, and I'm ready to pour all my resilient spirit into finding my person.

I'm your personal lap warmer; nothing makes my day more complete than snuggling up on the couch with you. I'm a true Velcro dog, always preferring to be right by your side, whether you're reading, watching TV, or just enjoying a quiet moment. New people or places can make me a little timid at first, but my natural curiosity always gets the best of me. I'll take a moment to assess, then I'm usually ready to approach for a friendly sniff and a gentle greeting. My routine is incredibly adaptable; whether you're an early bird or prefer to sleep in, I'm good with it! I'm fully potty trained, ready for a car adventure or a leisurely stroll where I might pull a little when something exciting catches my eye, but I'm always eager to learn. I simply adore other dogs and love nothing more than running around and playing with them outside at the park. Having a canine sibling would be a dream come true for me!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a family who understands that I'm still learning the world is safe, especially when faced with novel situations. I thrive on being close to my people and would love a home where I can be an integral part of daily life, showering you with affection and quiet companionship.

Training & Support

I respond well to high-value treats like chicken and cheese to help me settle in. Crate training is still a work in progress, but I'm comfortable in a larger enclosed space with my crate as a cozy option. With slow introductions and positive reinforcement, I quickly blossom into a confident and loyal companion. I might pull a little on the leash when something exciting catches my eye, but I'm always eager to learn.
