Meet Tucker! This sweet boy is only three years young, and he has sadly lost a family not once, but twice. Tucker was first surrendered to a shelter when his family lost their home. He was later adopted, only to be surrendered again for the very same reason. During that time, he also tested positive for heartworms. At just three years old, Tucker has already faced so much through no fault of his own. When we learned he was scheduled to be euthanized due to space restrictions, we were able to step in just in time thanks to a wonderful foster who opened their home to him. Now Tucker is safe, happy, and getting the heartworm treatment he needs. Tucker weighs about 48 pounds, is neutered, and is current on all his vaccines. Since he previously lived in a home, we know he does well with children. Once he gets to know another dog, he becomes friends quickly! He hasn't been around cats, so to be safe we're recommending a home without feline friends. He walks well on a leash and, according to his foster dad, can be a little "clingy" but honestly, after everything he's been through, we can't blame him. Tucker just wants someone to love.
