Nyla

Nyla is a sweet, shy girl who is ready to find her peaceful forever home. She came to us as an owner surrender and found shelter life to be overwhelming at first. Losing her home left this tender-hearted girl confused and heartbroken. She struggled to eat, didn’t understand her new surroundings, and needed time, patience, and gentle reassurance to feel safe again. With the help of caring staff, cozy sweaters, and plenty of tasty treats, Nyla has slowly begun to heal. Today, her soft eyes brighten for cuddle time, and she absolutely craves affection. She loves curling up beside someone she trusts and soaking in every bit of love she can get. Nyla enjoys short, easy walks — she’s not looking for adventure, just a calm stroll and a comforting hand nearby.

Ideal Home

Nyla thrives in a home where she can be the only dog. She is content to ignore other pups on her walks, but she wants her people all to herself.

Ongoing Health

When Nyla arrived, she tested positive for heartworms. She has since completed her treatment and is now heartworm negative. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She’s healthy and safe.

Nyla is located at St. Joseph Bay Humane Society in Port Saint Joe, FL. Transport may be available to approved adopters.
