Marion's Dobie

Dobie is a very sweet, athletic, and rambunctious boy who is looking for his forever family. He loves the great outdoors and needs plenty of space to run and play. While he's an escape artist who can climb fencing with his nails, he usually doesn't stray far and is not a fence jumper. He is an excellent couch potato who loves everyone he meets, doesn't jump up, and waits patiently to be petted. He is house-trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and is not a barker.

Ideal Home

Dobie would do best with a family who is home most of the time and can provide love and security through positive reinforcement training. He needs a secure yard with an unclimbable fence, and this behavior might improve if he had a playmate his size and energy level.

Ongoing Health

Dobie was neutered on 02/23/24 and received a 1-year Rabies vaccination and a 1-year DAPP vaccination. He also tested negative for the Flex 4 test on 02/23/24 and his heartworm test on 09/20/24 was negative.

Training & Support

Dobie gets excited in new situations, but he walks nicely on a leash and enjoys his daily walks. Positive reinforcement training is recommended to help him learn and thrive.
