Meet Hickory Hills JackS. Welcome to Hickory Hills JackS. My name is Elly Stremsterfer and we are glad you found us. Growing up, my family always had a Jack Russell, the long legged ones. Buck was the first, followed by Minnie Pearl, and Rimshot. When we got married we purchased our first Jack Russell together. Hank was a Parson's Jack and full of energy. He stayed with us through three moves and our daughter being born. When he passed unexpectedly in 2011, it left a big hole in our hearts. We moved into our current home following year and waited to get settled before finding the right Jack Russell to add to our family. My husband and I started raising Shortie Jacks back in 2013, when we purchased Annie from Russellville Farms in Louisiana. We knew right away that this was the perfect fit for our life. She fit right in and our kids loved her dearly. We love our dogs and puppies so much and look forward to each litter. It is an opportunity to teach our kids responsibility and priorities. ? We raise our JackS on our farm in southeast Iowa. We raise commercial cattle as well as commercial and purebred Boer goats. Sydney and Jackson enjoy showing goats. We try and make it too a few shows. This past year, we made our first trip to show at the Iowa State Fair. The kids worked hard and had a blast...we were exhausted! A little about Elly I work part-time as the Youth Director at our church, where I am in charge of all youth activities and lead two Bible Studies. I lead our daughter's Clover Kids Group with close to 65 members, coach one of the kids' ball teams. I enjoy running, well it keeps me sane. I crossed my 5th marathon finish line in October of 2018 and have starting thinking about my next. A little about Wade Wade is a Field Manager for TriOak Foods. He serves on the Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Youth Committee for 4H, and SPPR Committee for our church. He helps coach the kids' ball teams and helps me with Clover Kids. Wade is always working on our farm, constantly making improvements. A little about Sydney Sydney is 7 years old and is in the 2nd grade. She loves school and loves learning about history and math. Sydney is involved in dance, swimming lessons, guitar lessons, 4Leaf Clover Kids, Sunday School, Kids' Club pee wee ball and showing goats. She enjoys spending time with her family, crafts, science experiments and being with friends. ? ? A little about Jackson Jackson will turn 6 in February and is in Pre-K. He is learning to read, can count to 100 and loves his teacher. Jackson is involved in a variety of activities....trampoline, t-ball, swimming lessons, Sunday School, Kids' Club and showing goats. He enjoys riding his bike, playing with cars and spending time in the goat pens. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
