Meet Dallas – Your Future Best Friend with a Heart of Gold!
Dallas is a 3.5-year-old, 37 lb sweetheart with a heart of gold. She bravely cared for her three puppies on the streets of South Carolina and was rescued just in time. Now that her puppies have found their forever homes, it's Dallas's turn to be the center of someone's world! She's affectionate, people-loving, curious, goofy, smart, and trainable. While she can be a little stubborn, her spirited streak just makes her more endearing. She's learning the ropes of home life and blossoming more every day.
Ideal Home
Dallas is looking for a patient, kind, and gentle family who is excited to continue her training and watch her blossom. She would love to be the center of your world and would thrive in a home that can give her the spotlight. She needs a family willing to do slow introductions with new people and dogs outside the home and who understands her past fears and is committed to building her confidence.

Training & Support
Dallas is a smart girl who is highly food motivated and loves learning new things! She already knows sit, down, stay, wait, place, catch, come, crawl, and leave it! She is working on threshold manners and not jumping, and making fantastic progress with polite greetings. She can bark when she sees people or dogs at a distance, but warms up and becomes playful with slow, patient introductions with guidance. She is crate-trained but has been sleeping on her dog bed and is responsible enough to be loose while her foster works. Dallas loves mealtime, and her foster uses fun and engaging feeding methods like scattering food or rolling it in a towel to help her slow down and engage her mind. She also loves using her food for training games! She is eager and wiggly when excited on walks and can balance on her hind legs to see what's going on. With the right walking tools and ongoing positive training, she'll be a pro.
