Meet John! He's a gentle giant with a big heart and an even bigger love for playtime. John has done wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely adores playing with his foster's Pomeranian. While his behavior with cats is still unknown, he shows no reactivity when he sees the neighborhood strays and remains calm and polite. This sweet boy knows his basic commands, is fully house-trained, and has great manners—no begging at meal times and no counter surfing! John loves fetch, dog parks, and play sessions with other pups. He can get a little vocal when he’s very excited for you to throw the toy, and he’s more on the submissive side with both people and other dogs. Because he plays hard, he’ll happily fetch until his paws are raw, so supervised play breaks are important for him. John is a massive cuddler who truly believes he’s a lap dog. He enjoys car rides, especially when he can stick his head out the window, and he settles in well at home with his dog bed and heavy-duty chew toys. He is a powerful chewer, so durable chews are a must—yak chews don’t last long with him! On walks, John sometimes pulls, especially when walking close to the road, and he’ll occasionally grab his leash when he’s feeling playful. After the first 10 minutes, he typically settles into a nice rhythm. Stuffed toys don’t stand a chance with him, but his goofy, joyful personality more than makes up for the fluff cleanup you’ll avoid. John is non-aggressive, doesn’t resource guard, and is a sweetheart through and through. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, cuddly companion who brings joy everywhere he goes, John might be your perfect match.
