Sphinx is a striking young Doberman / German Shepherd mix with a glossy black coat, alert ears, and the kind of soulful eyes that make you stop in your tracks. Born June 2024, she is about 50 pounds and still filling out into her beautiful, athletic frame. Sphinx has a confident yet thoughtful personality. She may take a few minutes to warm up to new people, but once she does, she is deeply loving and devoted. She is kind, gentle, and has a quiet nobility about her. With her people, she is affectionate without being overwhelming and thrives on steady, consistent connection. She does wonderfully with children and enjoys interacting and playing with them. With other dogs, Sphinx is balanced and respectful. She enjoys calm, laid-back companions and prefers one-on-one friendships over chaotic group play. She is not dominant, does not resource guard, and shares toys and food without issue. While she can happily live with another dog, she does not require one to feel secure. Sphinx has moderate energy — she enjoys daily walks and backyard playtime but is equally content relaxing with her family. She would do best in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and explore. She is adaptable and well-adjusted, with no concerning behaviors or escape tendencies.
Ideal Home
A home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and explore.
Ongoing Health
Sphinx is healthy and has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
She will need continued guidance with potty training, crate training, and leash work, but she is very responsive, eager to please, and learns quickly with patience and consistency. She does beautifully with gentle, positive training and would thrive with an adopter who values structure and leadership without harshness. Every rescue pup is a work in progress and comes with a story, quirks, and a heart that has seen a lot but still chooses to trust again. Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves.
