Dewey

Dewey is a charming 4.5-month-old, 25 lb male Blue Heeler/Coonhound mix with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure! He was found abandoned but quickly charmed his way into a foster home where he's learning all about being a cherished pet. Dewey is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves to give kisses and play with his foster family, including the resident cats and doggy sibling. He's doing great with crate training and potty training, and is already picking up on basic obedience. While he's still learning to distinguish between chew toys and shoes, his intelligence means he's a quick learner. He's generally brave but can be startled by loud noises.

Ideal Home

Dewey would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can explore and use his amazing sense of smell. A family with a reasonable activity level that can help him burn off puppy energy will be a great fit, followed by lots of snuggle time.

Ongoing Health

Dewey is up-to-date on core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies) and will be neutered prior to transport.

Training & Support

Dewey is working on his leash manners and is still learning which items are appropriate chew toys. He's a smart pup and eager to please, so continued positive reinforcement will help him succeed.

Dewey is currently located in South Texas. He can be transported to homes in the United States and Canada, including Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, and Virginia, with placement directly in your home.
