Meet Toby, a handsome 3-year-old silver Lab mix weighing about 50 pounds. Toby is the kind of dog who forms a deep bond with his person and becomes an incredibly loyal companion. He has a gentle heart and soulful eyes, and he's house-trained, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Toby knows his basic commands and has wonderful manners; he's very sweet and submissive with people and prefers calm affection. If you enjoy long walks, hiking, or exploring the outdoors, Toby would love to be right by your side. Toby was raised with a Golden Retriever but didn't have much exposure to other dogs growing up, which can make him nervous when unfamiliar dogs approach him quickly. However, with slow introductions and time to build trust, he becomes much more comfortable and has already made great progress.

Ideal Home

Toby would thrive in a home that is dog-free or with an experienced owner who understands how to make slow, thoughtful dog introductions.

Training & Support

Toby is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. He knows basic commands and is sweet and submissive with people, not jumping up. He can be nervous around unfamiliar dogs but improves with slow introductions.
