Meet Robin! This handsome 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing around 85 pounds, is a special boy with a gentle heart and a quiet spirit. Robin comes from a hoarding situation and is still learning to trust and understand what it means to be loved. He's not the life of the party and prefers a calm environment. Robin is a thoughtful and sensitive soul who takes his time warming up to new people, places, and experiences, so he'll need an adopter with patience and understanding as he builds confidence and forms lasting bonds. When startled, Robin's instinct is to retreat to a safe space, like his crate or a quiet corner of the yard. With consistency, kindness, and reassurance, he's blossoming beautifully.
Robin truly shines around other dogs. While not overly rambunctious, he enjoys canine companionship and is showing a playful side with his foster sibling. He'd greatly benefit from a confident resident dog who can help show him the ropes and provide reassurance as he navigates the world. Robin is also curious and enjoys exploring at his own pace. He's treat-motivated, responds well to gentle correction, and has naturally good manners, never counter surfing or stealing food. He's the kind of dog who quietly observes, learns, and slowly lets his guard down. We are currently helping Robin gain some weight, and with good nutrition and care, he'll fill out into the handsome boy he's meant to be. The bond you build with Robin will be incredibly rewarding, and he's beginning to discover how brave, strong, and smart he truly is.
