Rufus

Rufus is a delightful 1.8-year-old mixed breed, with a heart full of sweetness and a past that almost ended too soon. He was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas, saved just in time from a fate he didn't deserve. Rufus is a blend of breeds, possibly including Lab and Cattle Dog, but what's certain is his 100% gentle nature. He has a strong build, soulful eyes, and a heart brimming with kindness. Rufus is a social butterfly, getting along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and even showing a gentle curiosity towards farm animals, like his pig friends! He walks beautifully on a leash, is eager to please, and showers his humans with affection, kisses, and cuddles. He's been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines. Rufus is heartworm positive and has begun slow-kill treatment, a part of his journey to a full recovery.
