Mateo is a silly and athletic guy who was rescued from the streets a few years ago after an attack. He's been at the shelter for a while, making him their second-longest resident, but he's more than ready to leave his past behind and find his loving forever home. Mateo is full of energy and loves to play, with his absolute favorite activity being fetch, especially with his beloved rubber ball! He can run impressive distances and would be a perfect match for someone who enjoys hiking, staying active, or playing sports. His playful personality shines through in his silly antics, whether he's rolling around on his back, wiggling with excitement, or greeting you with enthusiastic face and ear kisses. When the weather turns cold, Mateo also shows his cuddly side and loves to snuggle up close.

Ideal Home

Mateo would do best as the only pet in the home as he is not fond of cats or other dogs, likely due to his experiences surviving on the streets.

Ongoing Health

Mateo's adoption fee has been sponsored and covers his spay/neuter, microchip, and current vaccines.
