Meet Rover, your next adventure buddy!
If you're looking for a loyal sidekick to share life's adventures, Rover is ready to fill that role. This handsome 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur has an athletic spirit, a gentle heart, and so much love to give the person willing to earn his trust. Rover naturally bonds with women and can be a little cautious around men at first, so he'll need a patient adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace. Once he knows he's safe, his true personality shines. He becomes a faithful companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether you're headed out for a hike, relaxing at home, or taking a drive around town.
This active boy loves playing fetch, running, exploring, and splashing in the water. Lakes, pools, sprinklers—if there's water involved, Rover is all in! He also rides beautifully in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and is always happy to tag along on new adventures. Rover loves other dogs that understand good manners. He enjoys friends who give him a little personal space at first and will quickly become their favorite play buddy. Dogs that constantly crowd him aren't his style, but respectful canine companions bring out his playful, fun-loving side. He's also lived peacefully with cats and chickens.
Ideal Home
Rover could do very well in an apartment with someone who is home much of the day and committed to giving him daily exercise and enrichment. Because he can climb a 6-foot wooden privacy fence, supervised outdoor time or a very secure yard is important.
Ongoing Health
Rover is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.
Training & Support
Rover is potty trained, kennel trained, and well-mannered in the home.
