Coco

Coco is a gorgeous, energetic girl with a chocolate-brown coat and big brown eyes. Once she trusts you, she becomes a loyal buddy for life. She loves water, sunbathing, car rides, walks, and spending time with her people.

Ideal Home

Coco would thrive with a patient, confident adopter who understands dog body language and can provide plenty of physical and mental stimulation. A spacious, securely fenced yard would give her room to enjoy her zoomies.

She is wary of unfamiliar people and dogs and may be intense for smaller dogs and young children. She needs a home with teens who are confident around dogs. She is kept separate from cats and is probably not safe with cats or other small prey animals.

Ongoing Health

Coco was designated a birthday of June 14, 2023. She weighs approximately 70 pounds and is likely done growing. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has been treated for internal and external parasites. Available veterinary records will be provided at adoption. She is not yet sterilized.

Training & Support

Coco's house manners are generally good and she appears to be potty trained. She is learning leash skills while wearing a harness, though her strength makes leash manners challenging. She has not been crate trained, and she should remain leashed while she builds reliable skills.

She is smart and wants to please, but needs a strong, patient leader who will build her trust and train consistently. She is generally quiet but may bark when meeting strangers and does best when given space to warm up.

• An application must be approved before meeting Coco.
• The process may include background, veterinary, landlord or property manager, personal reference, household member, and home-check interviews, and usually takes about one week.

Transportation

Transport is available anywhere within the Pacific Northwest at the adopter's expense. Coco is handed directly to the adopter by a trusted representative rather than shipped through a third party.
