Lottie

Meet Lottie, a resilient and loving 2-year-old Bluetick Coonhound mix who weighs around 40 lbs. Lottie's journey has been one of overcoming adversity; she arrived with a severe leg injury that necessitated an amputation, but her spirit remains incredibly gentle, loving, and trusting. Her soulful brown eyes and floppy ears are guaranteed to steal your heart. Lottie begins each day with a demand for morning kisses before heading out, and she greets everyone as a potential new friend, often with sweet hound howls. She's currently focused on healing and recovery, finding joy in lounging, receiving affection, and staying close to her people. While toys aren't her main interest, she thrives on love and companionship, and we're excited to see her confidence grow.

Ideal Home

Lottie is looking for a family who will shower her with affection and make her a part of their daily life. She's adaptable and would do well in various homes, as long as there's plenty of love and comfortable spots for her to relax. A fenced yard would be a bonus, as she enjoys interacting with neighbors and new people.

Ongoing Health

Lottie is up-to-date on vaccinations through 5/27/27. She is currently receiving ongoing post-operative care following her leg amputation.

Training & Support

Lottie is crate-trained and is continuing to work on her house training. She has recently been left unsupervised overnight and while her foster family is away, with only a couple of accidents reported. She is making excellent progress and responds well to consistency and routine. Lottie has become a bit of a "food detective" due to needing to take medication hidden in treats. Her current favorite is American cheese slices!
