About Mola

Mola, named after the ocean sunfish, is a 4-year-old mixed breed girl with a gentle heart and a unique story. She was rescued at just 2 months old during a hike in the desert, extremely skinny and completely alone. From that day on, she grew up surrounded by love in a home near the beach, living peacefully with other dogs and cats. At first, Mola was shy and unsure around people, finding comfort mainly with other animals. Over time, with patience and stability, she became playful, affectionate, and emotionally connected to her pack. She is a dog who thrives with companionship and gentle guidance. Unfortunately, Mola finds herself about to be alone. Her caregivers have faced some life changes and needed to surrender her. The search, this time for furever, is on. She is spayed, vetted, vaccinated, and weighs approximately 36lbs. Mola is a medium-energy dog who is sweet, playful, affectionate, and curious. She is good with other dogs, displaying a submissive nature, and also good with cats.

Ideal Home

Mola would do best in an active home with a yard and regular outdoor time. She would love living with other friendly pets and with humans who understand shy dogs and can offer patience, routine, and reassurance. A calmer environment would help her feel safe and confident. Mola can be sensitive to loud children, so a home with older, dog-savvy children is recommended. She is also scared of fireworks.
