Mona is a gorgeous 2-year-old Mountain Cur mix who came to us with other dogs through no fault of her own. Her previous owner fell on hard times and decided these dogs deserved loving forever homes elsewhere. Mona is now settling into her new life and learning how to be a real dog. She's a sweet, smart, and active girl who gets along with other dogs. Mona is an energetic goofball who is completely obsessed with her stuffy toys! Volunteers found her to be wonderful, independent in a good way, enjoying both affection and her own space. She did well on leash, was eager to sniff everything, and sat nicely at a restaurant, showing good listening skills when asked to return and lay, even when tempted by people and other dogs. We promised Mona that the rest of her life would be the best of her life. Could that be with you?
Ideal Home
Mona would do well in a home that can keep up with her energy and provide plenty of opportunities for her to explore and play.
Ongoing Health
Mona is spayed and vaccinated.
Training & Support
Mona is learning to be a real dog and has shown good listening skills on leash, but may need continued reinforcement to resist greeting other dogs and people when out and about. Her love for toys is a great tool for positive reinforcement!
