Meet Josie, a sweet and loving Staffordshire Terrier mix who is the perfect cuddle buddy for the whole family! Born around October 26, 2023, and weighing 41 lbs, Josie is a delightful companion who enjoys playing with her toys, snuggling with her foster siblings, and sunbathing. She also has a particular fondness for chicken nuggets! Josie has been living in a foster home with children and has shown herself to be wonderfully gentle and playful with them.
Josie has seamlessly adjusted to her foster home, impressing her family with her good manners. She is already potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows commands like "sit" and "stay." Being very treat-motivated, Josie is eager to learn and please, making her a joy to train. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially those who are playful. When she's not out exploring, Josie's favorite activity is snuggling up on the couch for a nap or going for long walks. She also loves car rides and is a fantastic passenger!
Josie was rescued from a county shelter where she was facing euthanasia due to overcrowding. She arrived as a neglect case, sadly emaciated, but she has made an incredible journey towards recovery and is now ready to find her forever home. While she's still gaining a bit more weight, she's eager to start her new life.

Josie is located in Houston, TX. Transportation is available out of state, with ground transports operating weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Pickup locations may vary and can be across city, county, or state lines. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and will receive updates along the way.
