Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. He currently weighs 60 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a super sweet boy who just wants love and attention! He is very smart and a quick learner. He's very submissive and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Smokey is a couch potato who's more than happy to hang out and relax with you all day! He is a loyal, sweet companion who just wants to be part of a family.
Ideal Home
Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. He would also do really well in a home with a doggie companion as he loves playing with other dogs. Smokey would LOVE a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day.

Smokey is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Smokey walks great on a leash! He can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, but is easily redirected. He does get excited in the beginning and will pull just slightly, but he settles in and walks calmly by your side once the excitement wears off. Smokey is fully potty trained and is sure to only do his business outside. Smokey is not a huge fan of the crate. He will go into the crate to rest, but he prefers to not be shut in the crate. Smokey does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave. He doesn't tear anything up and he does stop crying, but for this reason, we think Smokey would be best suited for someone with a house and not an apartment.

Transporation
Smokey is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.
