Summer Smiles is a delightful German Shepherd mix, approximately 4 years old and weighing around 45 lbs. She's a true social butterfly, bringing sunshine and smiles wherever she goes. Summer is incredibly friendly, smart, and has a goofy, go-with-the-flow personality that makes it impossible not to fall in love with her. She adores everyone she meets and forms connections instantaneously.
Ideal Home
Summer would thrive in a home with an active family who enjoys hosting, as she loves being in the middle of the fun. A backyard for zoomies, playing, and sunbathing would be wonderful, but she also has the potential to do well in an apartment or condo. She is great with kids and has a special connection with them, making her the perfect family dog. Summer is also very dog-friendly and enjoys playing with other canine companions. She was respectful of the resident cat during her stay and a sleepover can be arranged to ensure compatibility with resident felines.
Ongoing Health
Summer is a rescue and while we believe her to be around 4 years old, breed and age cannot be guaranteed. All vetting is up-to-date, including vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, and she is spayed.
Training & Support
Summer is a treat-motivated learner and already knows how to sit on command. She walks well on a leash and is crate and potty trained, making her ready for adventures like hikes, park visits, or beach trips.

Transporation
Summer is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
