Red's story began on the streets of Downey, where he and his three siblings were found surviving as part of a neighborhood stray pack. Thankfully, those days are behind him, and now this handsome Shepherd mix puppy is ready to find a family of his own. At just 4–5 months old, Red is the perfect mix of sweet, curious, and playful. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time and you'll quickly discover a confident, affectionate puppy who loves to have fun. Once he trusts you, his goofy personality shines! Red is currently thriving in foster care, where he's always trying to convince the resident dog and even the family cat to play with him. He's social, gentle, and eager to make friends, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with other pets. Like any young puppy, Red is still learning about the world and will need a family committed to continuing his training, socialization, and helping him grow into the amazing dog he's destined to be. Based on his size and breed mix, we expect he'll grow into a large dog, around 60–70 pounds when fully grown. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a gentle heart, playful spirit, and so much love to give, Red may be the perfect addition to your family. He can't wait to leave his days as a stray behind and start his next chapter with the people he'll love forever.
