Shaggy

Meet Shaggy! This sweet, playful boy came to us with Paloma and Scooby after their owner in San José sadly passed away. With no one left to care for them, kind neighbors did what they could, but these three suddenly found themselves without the home they once knew. Shaggy is understandably cautious right now. Losing your person and ending up in a shelter would shake any dog, but Shaggy is trying his best to trust again. He has a thick coat and needs a cooler environment; Mexico is too hot for him.

Ideal Home

Shaggy deserves a calm, loving home to help him heal from such a big loss. He is ready for someone who will show him he is safe again. He needs a cooler environment.

Shaggy is neutered.

Training & Support

Shaggy is understandably cautious right now as he adjusts to his new surroundings. He is working on trusting again and will benefit from a patient and loving adopter.

Transporation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. Volunteers have successfully helped bring dogs to adopters at the border during the summer.
