Meet Poppa, a charismatic Pittie boy with a wiggly body and a massive love-bug personality! This affectionate guy is looking for a lap to sit on and a human to shower with snuggles. He is already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands like sit, shake, and lay down. Poppa’s favorite way to spend a day is relaxing in the grass, getting constant pets, and people-watching. He also truly enjoys going on adventures and is working hard on learning to be a calm, polite car passenger. Poppa loves all kinds of toys; he is great at independent play but will never turn down a spirited game of tug-of-war. While he can be very laid-back, he does have high-energy moments and can get jumpy when he’s overstimulated and sometimes plays rough. Poppa has shown some separation anxiety, but he has made incredible progress through consistency and a steady schedule. He previously had a kennel mate and has gotten along with other dogs at the shelter, though safe and proper introductions are imperative, as he did have a couple minor negative encounters with foster siblings. Poppa is ready to bring endless joy and play to a family who can offer him the routine he loves.
