Rico

Rico is an 8-year-old, 35lb gentleman who ended up in rescue due to his owner's cancer diagnosis. He's a handsome mix with a fluffy coat, a smile that could light up a room, and a tail that wags with pure joy. Rico adores car rides, is motivated by treats for performing tricks, and soaks up all the attention he can get. He's a big fan of kids and enjoys a good game of tug-of-war, whether with a human or another dog. Rico gets along wonderfully with dogs and children, walks well on leash, and is house-trained and crate-trained. He's truly ready to find a special someone to share his golden years with.

Ideal Home

Rico loves kids and dogs and enjoys playing tug. He can be a bit particular with cats; he would do best in a home with a calm cat that keeps to themselves and not an active cat that might instigate. He is a companion animal meant to live indoors as part of the family and is not suited for outdoor-only living situations.

Ongoing Health

Rico is neutered, heartworm tested, recently had a dental procedure, and is up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Rico is house-trained and crate-trained and walks well on leash.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• A $100 donation is requested to help cover vet bills and care.
• Adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of the adoption contract.
• All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption.

Transporation

Rico is currently in a private foster home. Visits can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been submitted. We do not ship dogs.
