Bamboo is adopted!
Pal's Place has rescued four of the sweetest, most adorable, and precious Shepherd mixes looking for loving forever families. These precious little guys were rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky and are now in a loving foster home in Chicago, waiting to meet their forever families. A DNA test performed on a littermate identifies their breed mix as 51% German Shepherd, 31% Doberman, 4% Chihuahua, 3% Australian Shepherd, 2% Great Pyrenees and very trace amounts of several other herding/working breeds.
Bamboo is 3 months old and weighs between 15-18 pounds. Given his current age and size, we expect a mature size of roughly 50-70 pounds. Bamboo is curious, energetic, social, and happy, making a great companion for an active family who has the time and patience to raise, train, socialize, and exercise him. Puppies are undoubtedly adorable and fun, but require a great deal of time and attention during their first several months. Please remember that puppies this age need frequent potty breaks (every 3-4 hours or so) and lots of playtime, engagement, and mental stimulation throughout the day, so please consider if you truly have the time for a puppy before applying.
