Arty

Meet Arty, a charming 2-year-old Dachshund/Parsons Jack Russell mix who weighs in at a compact 25 pounds. Despite his breed mix, Arty is a surprisingly calm and laid-back boy who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He's not overly vocal, making him a great companion for a quieter home. His coarse coat means he's not a heavy shedder, and he's sturdy enough for enjoyable walks. Arty has a sweet nature and truly loves humans, even after what we suspect was a difficult past. He's currently sharing a kennel with another small dog and is doing great. Arty will be neutered soon and is eagerly awaiting his forever home.

Ideal Home

Arty would be content in a home with a smaller yard, like one you might find with a condo. He's well-suited for a moderately active family who can offer him love and stability.

Training & Support

Arty is a gem who has learned to love humans despite previous experiences. He is house-trained and does well with other dogs.

Transporation

Arty is currently located in Texas. We can facilitate local adoptions or work with our dedicated transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont, or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note that due to state regulations, we are unable to adopt to Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
