Classy is a sweet, approximately 35-pound mix who was born around August 16, 2012. She arrived at the shelter on August 15, 2024, after being found as a stray with her son. Despite a rough start, including skin issues, being unspayed at 12 years old, heartworm positive, and having mammary tumors, Classy has shown incredible resilience and has become the beloved "office manager."
Ideal Home
Classy can be good with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet is essential to ensure compatibility. She has been wonderful with our visiting child tester, an 8-year-old who has grown up around animals. Classy has also recently discovered a love for cats and enjoys snuggle time in their room.
Ongoing Health
Classy is fully vetted. She is heartworm positive and is currently on monthly preventative for a slow-kill method. Any potential adopter must have a plan with their veterinarian for her ongoing treatment and prevention.

Application Details:
Applications start by contacting us through Wags. Your adoption fee is $100, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (Rabies, parvo/distemper/lepto, and kennel cough), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm prevention while in our care, and microchip. A valid driver's license is required for a background check. We do not have any pull fees for approved rescues and are very rescue friendly, often able to assist with transportation.
Transporation
Classy is currently located at MuhlPaws Animal Shelter. We are rescue-friendly and can usually help with transportation for approved adopters. Please visit us during our normal business hours: Mondays 10 AM - 3 PM, and Thursdays through Saturdays 10 AM - 3 PM. We do not allow meet-and-greets with potential adopters' pets until we have an approved application on file.
