• We do not do same-day adoptions, and adoptions are not on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Adoption applications must be submitted in person.
• Applying to adopt does not guarantee approval. We carefully review each application, including veterinary and personal reference checks, to ensure the best match for both the pet and adopter.
• There is no definitive timeline for the adoption process, as it varies by pet. We will contact you if your application is approved. Due to the volume of applications and volunteer staff time, those not approved may not be contacted. You are welcome to follow up on your application status one week after applying if you haven't heard from us.
