Sandy is a sweet 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs about 33 lbs. She was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, and was in a precarious situation. After being rescued, she faced some serious health complications during her spay surgery due to coagulation problems, which led to a difficult recovery. Despite her challenges, Sandy is a fighter who pulled through and is now looking for a loving home to call her own. She's incredibly grateful for her second chance and promises to be a devoted companion.
Ideal Home
Sandy would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and owners who understand the unique needs of rescued animals. She requires a family with experience in dog behavior and training, as well as a high level of patience and tolerance. Her new family must also have the time and willingness to provide her with regular exercise.
Ongoing Health
Sandy has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, and has been dewormed. She tested negative for heartworm and has a clean 4DX test. She is up-to-date on monthly preventive treatment with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm and has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Sandy is not yet house-trained, and her foster family has been unable to provide dedicated house-training due to the large number of animals they care for. She will need consistent guidance and patience in this area.
