Meet Birch! Birch is a 3-month-old male Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix weighing around 5 pounds. He's a growing puppy, and we anticipate he'll get a bit larger. Birch came into rescue as part of an accidental litter and has been doing wonderfully in his foster home. He's now searching for a family ready to embrace all the joys and learning experiences that come with puppyhood, including leash training, house training, ongoing socialization, and teaching him what's appropriate to chew. His foster mom describes Birch as a charming little Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix with a curious mind and a spirited personality that makes life exciting. He loves exploring his environment, investigating every new sound and toy, and then happily curling up for snuggles after playtime. Birch is playful yet sweet, making him a delightful companion for someone prepared for puppy adventures. He's currently learning basic commands like housetraining and leash walking, so he'll need patience, consistency, and plenty of encouragement as he continues to grow. With his affectionate nature and lively spirit, Birch is sure to bring both laughter and love into his forever home.
