Bear

Bear is a 6-year-old, approximately 18 lb sweetheart who is looking for his forever home! We believe he's a Bassett mix due to his adorable short stature. Bear is a gentle, fun-loving, and playful boy who has a lot of love to give. A unique quirk about Bear is his absolute obsession with blankets! He always has to have one, whether he's covering himself with it or dragging it around while he plays. It's the most adorable thing to watch! Bear was surrendered when his elderly owner had to move into a nursing home.

Ideal Home

Bear loves other dogs and cats, so he would do well in a home with other pets. He also gets along great with children who can shower him with the love he so readily gives.

Ongoing Health

Bear will be fixed (spayed/neutered), heartworm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, current on dewormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.

Bear is house and crate trained.

Transporation

Bear is currently in Texas and can be transported to the Central US and the East Coast. Transport typically goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany and Latham, NY; Wells and Brattleboro, VT; Willington, New Haven and Dayville, CT; Port Chester, NY; Dayton and Akron, OH; Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA; Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ; White Marsh/Elkton, MD; and Falls Church, VA.
