Penny Love is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and has a calm, balanced temperament that makes life with her simple and comfortable. She has been an absolute dream in her foster home, possessing a beautifully laid-back energy. Penny is often found relaxing and enjoying her people's company, embodying a "young dog with an old soul" vibe. She's not clingy and happily keeps you company without needing constant physical contact, striking a perfect balance.
Ideal Home
Penny Love would do best in a home with a canine companion who shares her cool, calm, and collected vibe. A male dog who enjoys the company of another dog, isn't looking for a constant playmate, and will respect her space would be ideal. If you don't have other dogs, Penny is perfectly fine with that as well, as she is happiest surrounded by her favorite people and truly loves everyone. She would also do well in a home with a cat that has a similar temperament to her foster cats, meaning they are aloof and keep to themselves. A home with a nice big backyard where she can roam, play with her toys, and relax in the sun would be wonderful, though she has the potential to thrive in an apartment setting due to her mellow nature.
Ongoing Health
Penny Love is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She is also given a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has had a heartworm test and treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Penny Love is a treat-motivated girl who is learning basic commands such as "sit" and wants to make her people happy. She is potty trained and is working on becoming more comfortable with a crate. She is generally a mellow girl that doesn't require a whole lot of exercise, but would enjoy casual strolls. She has wonderful house manners, is respectful in the home, and carries herself like a polite lady.
