Peanut is a sweet, loving Malshi available for adoption in Toronto/GTA and surrounding areas within Ontario. He is shy and cautious with strangers at first, so he needs a patient adopter who will let him warm up at his own pace. Once comfortable, Peanut is adorable, carefree, affectionate, quiet, and well behaved. He enjoys walks and is good with dogs and cats.

Ideal Home

Peanut is looking for:

• An adult home
• Experience with toy dogs
• Knowledge of or experience with fear reactivity
• A flexible work schedule
• A fully fenced backyard is preferred but not required

Peanut has no bite history. A vet reference or pet professional reference is required.

Ongoing Health

Peanut is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies and DHPPi, dewormed, and 4Dx negative. He needs a full dental, which will be completed at the rescue’s partner veterinary clinic when an appointment becomes available.

Training & Support

All adoptions include screening, introductory training, and use of a two-leash system with a five-point harness. GPS trackers will be required for new adoptions beginning September 2026.
