Mabel is a 2.5-year-old, 64-pound pit bull mix who is spayed and vaccinated. She was found abandoned and frightened but has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate, and outgoing girl who absolutely adores people. Mabel's favorite activities include snuggling, giving kisses, going for car rides, and receiving plenty of attention. She's been particularly gentle and patient with children, including an autistic child in her foster home, showing immense sweetness and a big heart. Mabel enjoys playing with other medium to large dogs and can get a bit overexcited during roughhousing but is learning to temper her enthusiasm. She's also making good progress on leash manners when encountering other dogs. Mabel would likely thrive with a playful and tolerant canine companion or as the sole cherished pet in the home. She is not a fan of crates and prefers to sleep cuddled with her humans.
Ideal Home
Mabel's ideal home is one filled with love, cuddles, comfy couches, and people who appreciate a loyal, affectionate dog with a goofy personality and a huge heart. She would likely do best in a home without cats.
