Milky Way is a charming Chihuahua boy who weighs about 8.6 lbs and was born on January 10, 2026. He's a friendly and social pup who enjoys running and playing, making him a delightful addition to most households. Milky Way is generally quiet but his sweet personality shines through. He's comfortable sleeping in an open crate, which he uses as his safe space. Like many young dogs, he's curious and enjoys chewing, so he'll need patient guidance as he continues to grow. Milky Way and his siblings were rescued from a difficult situation where their care became a burden, and their future was uncertain. Thankfully, they received a second chance and are now safe and loved, searching for their forever families. Milky Way promises endless devotion in return for a lifetime of kindness and stability.

Training & Support
Milky Way enjoys chewing and will need patience and guidance as he matures. As with many rescued dogs, he may require an adjustment period to a new environment and will benefit from patience and understanding to build trust.
Application Details:

- Complete our adoption form and submit photos/videos of your home.
- If it's a match, we'll schedule a call or video chat for a virtual home tour.
- We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
- Upon approval, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
Transportation
Milky Way is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip if adopted.
Transportation to your door is available for a one-time fee of $400 USD. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. Our contracted transport company, based in Montana, will pick up the pets in Mexico. For US adoptions, pets will be escorted across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets will be delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. A private Facebook Messenger group will be created with adopters and the transport team for real-time updates. The transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
