About Dahlia Daisy Flower the MINI Lab

Fostered in Marysville, WA is Dahlia Daisy Flower, an 11-month-old "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as delicate and beautiful as her namesake flower. This sweet girl currently weighs around 35 pounds and is expected to top out at 40-45 pounds. Dahlia is a joy to be around, with a love for adventure and companionship.

After a restful night in her crate, Dahlia is ready to greet the day! She’s a pro at potty breaks and enjoys some morning zoomies before heading out for a brisk walk. Her leash manners are nearly perfect, unless a squirrel catches her eye! Dahlia thrives on activity and loves exploring trails and parks, making friends wherever she goes. She's a water enthusiast and will happily jump into any creek or river she encounters, making her an ideal camping buddy for those sunny PNW summers.

During the workday, Dahlia is a perfect desk companion, snoozing contently by her foster mom's side and enjoying zoomie breaks with the four other dogs in the home. She lives harmoniously with two small female dogs, one medium male, and one large female, demonstrating excellent social skills. When playing with the smaller dogs, it’s important they can set their own boundaries and offer proper corrections. Dahlia's favorite pastimes include chasing pinecones and carrying around big sticks!

Dahlia is crate and house-trained, though she will vocalize when initially left alone in her crate. She does settle down eventually, but this might be a consideration for homes with shared walls. Despite this, she could adapt well to an apartment or condo lifestyle with sufficient exercise.

Evenings are for more neighborhood strolls or park visits. Dahlia has a well-balanced energy level, but as a young pup, she benefits from at least two walks daily to stay happy and fulfilled. She would thrive in a home with another playful dog or with opportunities for regular doggy daycare, as she truly cherishes canine companionship.

Dahlia has not been tested with cats or children, but we anticipate she would do well with respectful children aged 8 and up who will engage in play with her. A cat testing can be arranged if needed.

Dahlia is a fantastic co-pilot on car rides, hopping in eagerly and settling down for the journey. She eats with a good appetite but takes her time, and while she is comfortable with other dogs near her food bowl, separate eating spaces are always encouraged in multi-dog households.

At night, Dahlia settles beautifully in her crate without a sound, a routine that took some time to establish and will need to be re-established in her new home. Eventually, she'd love to share the bed with her humans!

Overall, Dahlia is a sweet, silly, snuggly, fun, and lovely pup who is excellent in public, enjoys adventures, and will bring immense happiness to her future family.

Ideal Home

Dahlia would be happiest in a home with another playful dog, or with owners who can provide regular doggy daycare. Homes with shared walls should consider her initial vocalization when left alone.
