Meet Toby, a 6-month-old, 26-pound Carolina-Corgi mix with a heart as big as his adorable ears. Toby's journey began with heartbreak when he was abandoned at a high-kill shelter with his mom. While his mom found a home quickly, Toby was left behind, scared and alone. Thankfully, a loving foster stepped in, and Toby has blossomed. Initially terrified of the outside world, Toby found comfort and confidence by watching his foster sisters. Now, he happily explores outdoors on leash, enjoys playing, and loves a good sunbath. Toby is shy with new people and needs time to adjust to new environments, but once he feels safe, he becomes a loyal, calm, and sweet companion. He's non-confrontational and gets along wonderfully with other animals, including the six dogs and one cat he currently lives with. Toby thrives in the company of other pets and looks to them for reassurance, which is why a confident, playful dog in the home is a must for him to continue building his confidence. He is a smart and quick learner, and while he's fine around children, a quieter home without young kids would be best for him to continue gaining confidence in a calm environment. Toby is puppy pad trained and is making great progress. With patience, kindness, and time, Toby will reward you with unwavering loyalty and a truly special bond. Toby is fully vaccinated, neutered, and heartworm negative.
Ideal Home
A patient family who can provide kindness and time. A quiet home without young children is preferred. A happy, confident, playful dog in the home is required to help Toby build confidence. A securely and fully fenced yard is a must.

Toby is fully vaccinated with 3 rounds of shots, neutered, and heartworm negative. He is kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.
Training & Support
Toby is currently puppy pad trained and is a quick learner. He is expected to housebreak easily with a patient family and a confident canine companion.
