Rufus

Rufus is a super cute Shepherd mix with a heart of gold! While he has a unique look due to alopecia on most of his body, it only adds to his charm. This intelligent and energetic boy is the perfect hiking buddy, a loyal protector, and a surprisingly snuggly lap dog. Rufus thrives on love and attention and is looking for a special person to share his life with.

Rufus would flourish in a home with a dedicated "Geezer Guardian" who understands and is committed to meeting his special needs.

Ongoing Health

Rufus experiences hair loss due to allergies and unstable gut health (dysbiosis). He is also prone to anxiety and occasional seizures. He is monitored closely by veterinary staff and receives medications for anxiety, B12 injections, and probiotics. He is on a hypoallergenic diet and requires weekly medicated baths.

Rufus is an extremely smart and energetic dog. He is described as loyal and affectionate.
